Ive noticed lately that placing my cursor on a file, and dbl clicking on the left does NOT open the file. I haven't changed anything on my mouse configuration, any suggestions as to why it doesn't work anymore?

What specific Mac with what exact Mac OS X version and with what mouse do you use?
Can you double click anywhere else to open a window or file on the Desktop?
Even though some might get annoyed of reading this, the thread title guy strikes again:
A more descriptive and precise thread title will help cater to the right audience and get you more responses.
To edit your thread title, just click on the http://images.macrumors.com/vb/images/buttons/edit.gif button on the bottom right of your original post and then click the "Go Advanced" button below your message.
Have you also taken a look at http://mroogle.edesignuk.com/MRoogleSmall.gif ( http://mroogle.edesignuk.com/), since that question may have been asked several times?
Example: External mouse (model) can't open files via double click.

27", 3.06gig iMac, v10.6.4, Magic Mouse
Other than the left dbl click not working, the mouse is working perfectly.

Just cause I feel like contributing nothing...
I don't think resetting PRAM/SMC is going to do anything :P
[EDIT] OK, a slight contribution: are you sure left-clicking properly works? Tried the same mouse on a different system?
