I have a shared drive on my PC and I use it quite happily on my Mac via samba but its becoming more difficult and tiresome for me to have to copy new and changed files backwards and forwards, is there a feature in OS X that automatically synchronizes them if not is there any other solution?

Any help is very much appreciated.

Any help is very much appreciated.I love Qdea's Synchronize Pro X. Anytime that a pair of selected volumes are available, folders within them that have been chosen to be synchronized will be synchronized. I have used the Classic version and now the MacOS X version for years. It works without paying the shareware fee, but it works better in paid mode. You may also write an AppleScript or a Darwin shell script to do the same thing.

There are sync utilities about. eg http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/1682

But most of them you have to pay for.

You could also try this applescript:
