Oct 28, 2004, 09:44 PM
Hi. My friend wants to trade his G4 iMac 17" for a Gaming PC. Please post what you have. He will also sell it. Here are the specs...

iMac G4 800MHz
17" WideScreen
80GB HardDrive
Apple Keyboard/Mouse

The machine is in flawless condition. I will install a fresh copy of Panther on it, for whoever buys/trades for it. He really likes the machine for iTunes, iMovie, iPhoto, etc., but he is into gaming more now, and he wants a gaming machine.

Any offers?

I might have what you're looking for. I have a P4 3.0 GHz and an ATI AIW Radeon 9800 Pro that I want to sell. PM if interested. It's only a year old with top of the line products. check here for specs. (http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=92458&highlight=gaming+rig) This specs are going to change. One pair of RAM will be taken out and the 100GB Hard Disk. PM me if interested.

Can you put the model number up?

Well, he wants top of the line for a trade. The machine sells on eBay for 1000 to 1100. So for a trade, he would probably want everything in the PC. I mean, you can build a PC with a 3.2GHz P4, ATI Radeon 9800 Pro, 80GB SATA drive, 512MB RAM, etc. on zipzoomfly.com for around $900 when done.
