I currently have an ATI 7000 Video card in my B&W and was considering getting an ATI 9200 which has 4 times the VRAM. What improvements if any would I get from having a 9200. Also how much do Graphics cards affect video playback performance like if I'm watching a Quicktime video would I get more FPS from a better GPU or is that all CPU related.

I will direct you to a nice Barefeats analysis...

🙂

EDIT: If you don't feel like reading all that, it says owners of 7000's should upgrade. You will get more FPS. Also, consider upgrading your CPU as well, if it's still at 300MHz. 😉

My B&W has it cpu upgraded already to a 600mhz G4. i will probably get it I have another question Is the Card going to be one of the
Core video/image cards or is that only for agp cards.

You need AGP for Core Image/Video, also the 9200 chipset is not supported, so you have no hope for a haxie either.
