i was on fatwallet and saw that there is a rebate for the old AND NEW iBook models heres the link

No, the rebates are now good on the new models too, but you must buy from Amazon and not one of their affiliates. They're currently sold out of the new 12" model, but the rebate is good thru 11/21, so they have plenty of time to get more back in stock.

Wow, I can't believe how cheap that is. I was thinking of getting the 12" Powerbook for $1450 (AR), but how can it really be worth $600 more than the 12" iBook? :eek:

Dang, that makes the ibook even cheaper than the Apple Education price.... Hmm.... I keep saving for a 15" Powerbook, but an ibook for a third of the price.... I dunno!
