I'm going to a convention this weekend, 3 days about 6 hours a day, and plan on recording it. It will be broadcast on fm inside the auditorium and I plan on using an old creative labs zen that can record fm radio (because I have it and don't want to spend the money on something for this weekend only).

It records in .wav's and I can copy those from vmware fusion/xp to my mac. I know I can import them into itunes and convert to mp3 from there but since the files will be 3-6 hours long I would like some way to chop them into smaller segments or to add chapter points to the files so I can skip to them with my iphone.

I'm looking at free or low cost solutions, I've never used garage band and couldn't find options to do what I want, it's probably because I'm not familiar with it but any help here would be appreciated!

Thanks,
d
