Going back to 3GS from iP4

I got the iPhone 4 pre-ordered. I don't like it as well as the 3GS. Can I backup the iPhone 4, take the phone back for a refund (not the question), and restore my 3GS from backup and have it work the same as before with updates and all?

Whats not to like about the i4? Yes you can take it back and refund it and restore to the 3gs. Can I have ur iphone then?

There are several things I don't like. The feel (for me), texting or typing in general seems more difficult, and of course, the reception problem is almost enough by itself to turn me off (no pun intended).

Thanks for answering my question about backing this up and being OK with my 3GS. I'm going to give it to my son though!
