Hello-
We recently upgraded our DC to Win Server 2008 R2 from 2003. The Forest Name and IP address are the same, however the individual names of the DC changed, from abcdc1 to cbadc1 as an example. This has caused our 10.6 machines to stop responding to AD on the client side. Has anyone ever experienced this before?
Some troubleshooting steps....
Ultimately I can unbind the machines and rebind with no problem, but doing this to 300+ machines is quite daunting. Also I have edited /Library/Preferences/ActiveDirectoryDomainCache.plist and manually added the new DC's DNS names which turns the light green at login window but still does not allow authentication. also flushed the DirectoryServices Cache....
Any ideas would be great....
Thanks
