can i add memory from a different brand ??

hi
i have an i mac 27 i5
i would like to upgrade from 4gb to 8gb of ram
apple store sell the 4 gb for 200 $
i found the same from amazon for 100$:

Crucial 4GB 204-PIN PC3-8500 SODIMM DDR3 Memory KIT (2GBx2)

its look like its the same kind of memory but from different brand ,
is it still going to work properly ?

It should. I think it is the same ram I bought for my macbook last year, and my 21 imac (which will be delivered today from amazon). Hope that helps.

as long as it has a Cas Latency of 7 any brand will work.
