The latest version of my PhotoToMac app now transfers any photo from your iPhone, iPod touch or iPad to a Mac or Time Capsule over WiFi.

Just wish it did videos and didnt add the stupid phototomac append to filenames. Kinda annoying.

I will certainly add video support in one of the future releases.

Concerning the stupid, annoying file names. It's just not possible in iOS 3 and earlier to get hold of the real photo name. So, I had to come up with a naming scheme myself.

Hey gal do you know of a way to create Camera rolls (folders) in the sdk? O btw great simplistic app, been using it for a long time to transfer my pictures when i need them quickly.

why not use photo transfer? it does photos AND videos over wifi as well as idevice to idevice.

The latest PhotoToMac version now supports video transfer as well as doing a transfer in the background.

Multiple selection works well; but it'd be nicer (and less confusing) if a red tick came up next to the selected photos or something.

EDIT: also being able to save to my desktop (instead of just the user home folder) would be nice.

great app!

Functionality like the red tick is on the list for the next major version of PhotoToMac.

If you add your Desktop folder to the list of shared folders on your Mac (System Preferences > File Sharing) you will be able to transfer photos to your Desktop.
By the way, this works with any folder.

New version of PhotoToMac is available now. The "What's new" goes as follows:

• Transfer of photos and videos is now approximately twice as fast
• "Select All" and "Custom Select" for all media sources
• Transferred photos now contain meta data
• Videos are transferred in full quality (no compression)
• Support for Events and Faces
• iPad: all photos are now transferred in full resolution + support for RAW photos
• Help section with How To info and FAQs
• PNG images will have a .png extension
• A lot of UI enhancements
• iOS 4 required
• Mac OS 10.5 or higher required
