I discovered this interesting article, and I say that this is proof positive that people will believe anything, even when there are obvious facts to the contrary. Please insert "and gods" after "UFO scares" at the end of the second paragraph.

Isn't it great that we live in a country that allows us to believe what we want?!?

I think a better question is why shouldn't religion persist?
