View Full Version : Audio over mini displayport > hdmi?

Hi all, I know this has probably been posted before but all I can find is threads regarding macbook pro's. Can the mac pro (2009) send audio over hdmi via a mini displayport > hdmi adapter? I have a gt120 and a 4870.

The PC versions of the 4870 card definitely support it, so do you think it would work under Windows, or is it a feature that is missing from our (much more expensive) card?

Should work on Windows. Unless the firmware on the card prevents usage of the onboard soundcard - although I doubt it.
