I have an iMac and a Sony HD Surround Sound Receiver. I purchased a Kanex 5.1 Audio adapter for full dolby digital sound but I am only outputting 2.1 sound. I don't think it's the Sony receiver because I have a PS3 and a cable receiver hooked up to it and both output 5.1 sound. Can anyone help me with my set up.
PS: The Kanex cable is a Mini DisplayPort to HDMI adapter with a Toslink cable for sound.
