HELP! I Can't Download Quicktime Standalone.

Hi,

Just tried to test it. Get the same error as you in both Safari and IE.

Guess the link is down, it is an Akamai load balanced link so give it some time and it may come back up.
 
Have you tried Software Update, and choosing "Download Only" from the file menu?

Just worked fine for me for the 6.5.2 version.

It will save the file to /Library/Packages (note that is the Library folder in the root of the hard drive NOT the one in your Home folder)

I need the Windows XP version for a student who is supposed to be viewing a live QT stream from their instructor.
