just wondering which brand is better in terms of quality for using the imac 27" as a monitor for the 360?
Also when the refresh comes will it still work?
Thanks

Av360 hands down -- it supports 1080p. Check out my thread -- http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=962633

Nooo, nooo, It accepts 1080p but it doesn't output 1080p, just 720p. So compare the prices.

I'm also wondering if there is any difference in quality.
Is the 720p output a hardware limitation?

From what I've read through various forums, the limitation exists on the iMac. It can't handle 1080p (1920 x 1080) resolution input via the Mini DisplayPort. Unfortunately, it can only handle 720p (1280 × 720) or the native iMac resolution of 2560 x 1440.
Weird, because the iMac display can technically display 1920 x 1080.
It's a pity that these devices are only 66% of what they could be. Shame.

Hmm. I am wondering the same thing.
Has anyone heard of the Atlona AT-HD620?? Does that display 1080p on the iMac??
