I have a macbook, macbook pro, and iMac on my Time Capsule's wifi. At least half the time when my iMac wakes from sleep, it does not automatically reconnect to my preferred wifi network, the TC, but searches for a while and fails to connect. I then have to manually select my TC network from the AirPort drop down menu, where it's usually at the bottom of a long list of all the nearby Wifi networks it has detected. Why is this?

Both my macbook and MBP work fine, and always reconnect automatically right away.

I've tried all sorts of different airport settings and settings on the TC, nothing seems to help.

Try SMC and PRAM reset and repair permissions with Disk Utility, those might help.
