iOS 4 + iPhone 3G = lockups?

Since installing 4.0, my 3G has locked up about 1/2 dozen times. By "lock up" I mean an app dies, and then the phone goes to the Apple logo (reboot) by itself.

Anyone else having the same?

I have iPhone 3G and 3GS in the house which I pass down the family and awaiting the iPhone 4. The 3G just stinks on iOS4 and is not serviceable in a meaningful way in respect to performance. I am now looking a simple way to roll the 3G back to 3.1.3 as soon as possible.. Easy guide anyone ? 🙂
