A while back I sent my sister a song I'd purchased on iTunes. In orderodor her to play it I had to authorize her comp to play my downloads. I never deauthorized her computer. Does this mean she can now access my iTunes account and all downloads or would she need to have my login and password?

Unless in addition to authorizing her computer to play purchases, you also signed-in to the iTunes Store, set the 1-click whatever on, and remained signed in before you left her computer, no. :D

This was a while ago so I can't remember what the process was for authorizing a comp. Would I have had to log in to the itunes store on her comp to authorize her to play the song?

Nope. To authorize a computer, you click on Store > Authorize Computer, but you don't actually sign into the store at all. AFAIK, you'd really have to go out of your way for her to be able to use your acct to buy stuff from iTunes.

Oh ok, thanks. So when I put the song in her iTunes, if I didn't log in... How did it know the authorization was for songs from my account?

All of that information is held inside of each song.
