Favorite feature(s) about Powerbook/iBook?

Sexy aluminium case and glowing backlit keys 😉

Although bluetooth, gigabit ethernet and firewire 800 have all come in very handy on more than 1 occasion (never underestimate the bandwidth of 'driving your laptop across town').
 
Tons of things about the PB are great; my favorites are:

- Screen (15" widescreen)
- Keyboard (backlit, and the tactile response)
- Overall look ... silver is sleek

If you're talking about Macs in general, I love the usability and scripting abilities of OS X, as well as the wide variety of software out there.
 
Backlit Keyboard..mad as!

Man.. Backlit Keyboard... the moment I saw it on the Video... I was hooked completely...! Can't wait til I get my 15" PB... ((I hope so..))
 
It's portable and I mean I can type while waiting for a train/plane , it's amazing, and my built-in bluetooth... battery life...

I have a TiBook, but the same goes for the new Aluminum PBooks. The design, fit & finish is unmatched by any PC notebook. IBM comes close, but most laptops I see aren't nearly as nice as my Mac.

Oh, and it runs Mac OS! Duh! 😀

yes, indeed, the original feature is sleeping and we all know how fast one can wake up. microsoft has tried to implement it too, but it has to call it "hibernating". i wonder why 😀 😀 😀
 
i think the best feature of apple laptops is indeed the ability of running osx. other than that which is obvious, i like that my powerbook is a true desktop replacement (after i exchanged the internal hard drive to a 7200rpm one). there's just nothing missing, except i can never have too much speed as i use protools and often stress the system to its limit.

apple hardware looks just blow me away. i love the minimalist approach - no unnecessary buttons or lights, just the keyboard and one-button trackpad. they could even drop the button altogether, one can always tap it 😉 there just isn't a more beautiful computer than an apple powerbook in a dark room. lighted keyboard in front and apple logo on the backside.

did i already mention the size? any smaller and it would be ruined - make a computer too light and it begins to feel like a toy. performance must always weigh something, and i think this way because i know "something" about audio technology (where sometimes you can value the usefulness of analog gear by its weight 😀 seriously.). i think their design team has hit gold when they associated POWERsomething with aluminum...
