iTunes, Podcasts and iPod

I have a friend that has an iPod, (waiting on which one right now), and she is looking for a podcast of the Bridge to 10K running program.

Now, my question is... are podcasts for regular iPods?

Also, there's an app, can anything be done w/ an app? Like convert it so she can listen to it on her iPod?

Any ideas are welcome!
