Mail--changing default mail account

Can you please help me?

I have a regular email account that I use for everything.

I signed up for the trial of .mac.

When I compose a new message, if I don't specifically check the regular account, it sends from mac.com. Is there a way to reverse this? I don't want to have to choose the right account each time.

Took awhile to figure this one out! Basically the default e-mail account is the first one listed under preferences in accounts. So go to mail/preferences/accounts and in the account panel on the left arrange them in the order that you want. So instead of .mac being first, make sure your regular e-mail account is the first in the list. From then on, when you compose a new message your regular account should be used. 🙂
