elp me Connect a Windows Computer to my iMac to Use as Backup!

We came across a really cheap emachines computer with a huge hard drive so we are going to use it as a backup for my iMac.

Is it possible to connect the two via a USB cable (only kind of jack on the emachines) and have it appear and function as a hard drive on my iMac?

Is the possibility of setting up a local network out of the question?

If not you can share a directory on the eMachine and then on your iMac just map the drive.

It would probably be easier and faster just to get an enclosure for the drive.
