Hey guys. I've recently started work with a new company and the previous employee has left, but has setup the adminstrative account on the work computer. When asked for a password, I don't know what he used. My boss and I have gone through some various passwords he used but none work. What are my options?

You should be able to boot from the Mac OS X disk and remove the password using that. link (http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1274).

Thanks, I figured I would need the install disk. My problem is I haven't seen it in the office since I cleaned up and my boss doesn't know where it is. I suspect it may be in the original box so I'll check there in a bit when I'm done with this project.

As I was afraid of, I can't find the start-up disk. I've turned this office upside down and no signs of it except the Applecare disk in an empty drawer. Can I use any OS-X start-up disk?

You can use any standard os x install disk or a disk from the same model of Mac.
