We love our users. Work our asses off to surprise and delight them. Make some pretty interesting products.

In spite of rumors saying otherwise, this press conference had zero mention of anything mac pro related.

He mentioned the word "Mac" once in this meeting.

As of today, it's been 500 days since the last mac Pro. Who's betting we'll make it to 2 years?

THis was an emergency response to iPhone 4 issues. Not a keynote.
I'm pissed about the Mac Pro too, but I don't think that this was an appropriate venue.

This wasn't a keynote or press release where Apple sometimes releases something. I'm sure Steve never wanted to organize that press conference, he just had no option left.

A product update would have been pretty hectic. "Oh, so you don't have to cover this iPhone issue in your articles, we are releasing new Macs so you can make articles about them and forget the iPhone" :D

The Mac Pro update can happen at anytime!

I never said I believed it. I'm just saying some were putting this event and the recent supposed leak about the Mac Pro (Fall MP (http://www.macrumors.com/2010/07/16/usb-3-0-and-faster-firewire-in-next-mac-pro-imac/)?) together.

Also, this really is day 500. Perhaps the leak was real and purposeful, but you never know. The last few leaks about upcoming mac pros were obviously wrong.

You don't call to a press conference to update a Mac Pro
This was already labeled as a press conference regarding iPhone antenna

There were rumors of Jobs talking about the Mac Pro today? What websites are you reading? Sorry, but this thread is an absolute fail.

Definitely not the venue. As much as I am anticipating a new Mac Pro, Apple would have been ridiculed if they released a new Mac in the context of addressing these acute iPhone 4 issues.
