I've been buying a whole lot of CDs over the past year or so and I'm getting tired of hearing the same production tricks in many albums.
The two that immediately come to mind are:
1. Surface Noise -- if I wanted to buy a piece of dusty scratched vinyl I would have. Listening to a song with this racket doesn't make it sound genuine or warm.
2. The really big long gap at the end of the CD before a reprise or 'hidden' track. Just plain annoying...
Anybody have any others?
