Microsoft’s search-and-destroy mission (search engine)

I noticed Microsoft isn't as strong as it use to be. They lost the search engine wars to Google. The Microsoft Music Store didn't really matter either. I saw a lot of good things from Microsoft back in the 90's but this decade they seem almost dead. Even their browser is losing marketshare nowdays. I noticed they started going downhill after Gates stepped down and that bald ape dude started to run the company.

yeah they are that bad, they dont know how to innovate, thats really their problem, oh and they think they can rule the world, and that they got a little too comfy being number one, and...well i guess they have more than one problem, i dont think i need to go on
 
Anybody catch the Dave Letterman bit on the MS search engine? Classic. Something like:

1. Go to msn.com

2. Register

3. Create user ID and password

4. Go back to msn.com

5. Log in

6. Define parameters of search

7. Define sites to search

8. Click search button

Made me think of this thread...
 
It sucks, (they should produce Vacuum cleaners, they won't suck) 😛

It gives you the advertising first and a lot of pixels below, they show what you look for... Idiots 🙄 , google at least receives you with news.

advertising on the top, on the side... Ballmer, Ballmer, Ballmer... 😱

I'm getting tired of hearing Ballmer say:

"We're introducing this "insert name of product here". We're gonna catch up quickly with "insert name of leading competitor here" and beat them.

They did this with their music store, the XBox and their new search engine.

Also, I'm kind of scared that this gets announced by Ballmer, the same guy that planned to have people surfing the web come across a Microsoft ad every 2 minutes. He actually told his staff to "saturate" the web with Microsoft advertisement. The guy is a big believer in online advertising.

Ballmer said:
Ballmer said Microsoft spends about 12 percent of its media budget on online advertising, and that he orders his staff to "saturate" that market first and foremost.

"I want to make sure (a user) can't get through ... an online experience without hitting a Microsoft ad," he said.

i gave it a try earlier. i typed in what i was looking for, pressed enter, and waited and waited and waited. so i went back to google where i will be staying!
it will be interesting to see if browsers like firefox put in links to use the msn search like there is for google.

i somehow doubt it
