Hi!

Does anyone know an iPhone 4 Dock that is compatible with a case?
For example Bumper from Apple or SwitchEasy Nude?

I dont want to cut the iPhone 4 Dock, i saw this experiment here in this forum. I dont like it!

Thx!

You can use the universal dock with no adapter. The ip4 with a case will fit -- you just have to let the dock connector post hold it up. Or you can rig up a support behind it with a piece of plastic or stiff cardboard. I haven't done it yet but read about several who have and saw a pic on a forum somewhere. If I can remember where, I'll post a link.

Great, thanks!

I think, i would buy the Universal Dock.

Perhaps, anyone here in this forum has this option and can take a picture of it!

Hope this helps

Bumper fits Universal dock no probs
The only drawback to this is there is a lot of room at the back of the phone to the dock so if you use the phone while its docked it disconnects from the charging very easily.

Hope you like the Imperial Theme 😛

Doesn't this risk putting too much strain on the connections? I don't know why cases manufacturers don't all supply adaptors or at least make them available to buy.

Cool! So i think i buy the Universal Dock instead of the iPhone 4 Dock.

I hope SwitchEasy Nude fits also in this Universal Dock.

Hope this helps

Lord Vader is most pleased.

Is that bumpered iPhone in the dock with an adapter? I see the outline of an adapter on there.

Yeah there is an adapter in it
Just been trying it for a bit, one of the old iphone ones
To be honest the dock works a lot better without any🙂

Yes it works but like i said its better without it, I just bought the universal dock for the same purpose so i could dock it with a bumper.
Just checked the adaptors that are still in box im not using one of them.
None of the adaptors has the curve at the front for the home button with the latest dock so i think i either got it with the old universal dock with the circular ir sensor on the front if you know what i mean or with the first iphone dock adaptors pack from the apple store. In any case it works best without any
Take my word for it and it seems sturdier :apple:

I saw this and this.

The first one is for me to expensive. But the second one is cheap. Perhaps i try this.

Unfortunately, there a so much different docks, the decision is very hard 🙂

I had the Griffin Simplifi - but it is a powered dock, requires a plug to work. I also found that it didn't always charge / wake my computer when I docked my old iPhone 3Gs in it.

The 2nd one looks interesting.

For anyone that is considering purchasing a dock from made2dock I want to give their docks my recommendation. I purchased two of them (black slant models for 3G/3GS) about 9 months ago for my Iphone 3GS. I have one of them on my desk at work and the other at home. They worked great with my 3GS in an ifrogz case. I just got an Iphone 4 and was very happy to see that it fit just fine in the old dock - also in an ifrogz case.

The one from ebay looks pretty good for the price. Wavering between that and the official universal dock. I wonder if anyone has pictures of the ebay one. It looks like the Amzer iGlobe, but it's a little smaller.

Thats great to hear.
I just purchased 2 of them also and waiting for them to arrive.
I also got the slant model and glad that my iphone 4 with a bumper will fit and charge without having to take off the case to do it each time.

I posted the link from my iPhone, so I didn't type anything with it. Anyways, I've been using a black made2dock with my 3Gs and Seidio case until I got my iPhone 4. I absolutely love it, and will be purchasing another one as soon as I sell this one. It fits my iPhone 4 nicely though without a bumper.😀

I'd like to know more about that ebay one also

Pictures

made2dock Slant SLIM FIT will work with apple bumper and NUDE from switcheasy, as you can see from the pictures. Think before asking redundant questions.

It wont be really interesting because made2dock makes one that works for otterbox, so theres your answer....not really interesting huh?
