View Full Version : S/Ident error?

Hello. I'm a recent mac convert and am connected to my university's ethernet. Periodically I receive the following error message:

"An S/Ident request to MacLeland Agent returned an error of type 131. Try to log in again."

When I receive this message, I'm not trying to log in to anything. In fact, the most recent message popped up while I was using word processing software, which makes the error message seem random and unprompted. Does anyone out know what could be causing this? Thanks.

Could be a background software update agent trying to run. Maybe your school network is blocking it somehow.
