Defunct iTunes Visualizer effects

Ok, for some reason the Visualizer function on my itunes is not working. It just stopped working about a week ago. I tried to repair permissions several times, but it hasn't helped. My machine:

12" PB 1.33
256 MG

most current version of iTunes.

any suggestions?

Duff-Man says...try the other usual troubleshooting tricks - does it work okay for other user accounts on the computer? If it does then it is almost without exception a problem with your preference file. Move the com.apple.itunes.plist from your home/library/preferences (don't delete it in case it is not the problem and you want to use it again) and launch iTunes again - if the problem is gone, just reset the rest of your preferences again and you are all set....if the problem remains then it is something else....oh yeah!

Thanks for the help. It turned out that the Preferences were indeed the problem. All is well now. 🙂
