I recently updated my version of itunes as prompted to do so by my automatic update functions. Now itunes can't find any of my songs. I can still see them in the library but when I try to play them itunes says it can't locate them. What do I do?

Something may have been messed up during the update. I would suggest repairing permissions, as described in this thread. (http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=89736)

If that doesn't work, try trashing the preferences file.

maybe just drag your library into itunes and see what itunes does

Make a copy of your iTunes Music Library before you do anything else. Then experiment with dragging and dropping your music in.

goto the library folder and copy to another location.

You find your iTunes library by following this directory. userfolder/music/iTunes/.
