I like techno music for when i game and i would like to get more from itms (itunes music store), i like the kind that has no words in them. I am new to techno music so older music if alright.
I just got $100 from a friend as a gift critificate and i want to spend all on techno :)

Do you really think he's ready for that? Heh... if Solafaa is someone who likes contemporary techno, Kraftwerk may prove to be a bit 'old-school'.
It's quite hard to find alternative electro / techno / dance / whatever on the itms... The Azoic's 'forward and conflict' is on the UK store, so you may have a chance at that one. Proper ********* hard core remixes on that one.
Cruciform injection is bearable, you might appreciate a bit of that. There are a couple of albums here.
OK, so none of the other names which jump out at me are stocked. You may just be best getting one of these wonderful Ibetha remix albums, or DJ Tiesto's greatest hits ...ha!

I've seen techno meant to connotate everything from Nine Inch Nails to Shadow to Kraftwerk, so the spectrum is pretty wide for suggestions. With that said, brap is right, iTMS sucks for techno. No label even comes close to warp for pure modern techno prowess, and they're not on the iTunes as of yet (nor will they probably be soon, they developed their own online store, bleep). Good luck. Would you consider any Massive Attack? They're trip hop - ish, and iTunes has a ton of that. There are vocals though. Garageband.com has a lot of good indie electro artists, and it used to be all free, but I believe the majority of it is still free. Check out the Canadian stuff, especially CMMB if he's still on there (he's a badass concept musician from kitchener).

check out Brazilian techno: Suba (available on iTunes), Nova Cuca Bossa, and more. The remix of Tanto Tempo by Bebel Gilberto, Tanto Tempo Remixes, has some cool Bossa Nova techno and dance.

great list... i'd also recommend the art of noise, paul oakenfeld, orbital, crystal method, the chemical brothers, the prodigy and groove armada. i'm sure i'm missing quite a few other groups but this is a good start. also, someone else talked about kraftwerk earlier. i would highly recommend you check them out. so much other music has been based/influenced on their pioneering work. it would be a shame not to expose yourself to their work as well.

Tx!! Too bad that iTunes is somewhat limited in Euro Techno/Trance offerings. Do you have a decent radio station airing this music? DC sucks!

i get all my "techno" from DDR. :D
but I am allways a fan of real thumping techno. I second the kraftwerk idea.
