Depends on the game types, but here are some good ones:

Unreal Tournament 2004, Call of Duty, Battlefield 1942, Warcraft 3.

I have a dual 1.8 with the 256MB Radeon 9800 XT and I play UT2004, BF1942, and Call of Duty online all the time against people using various OSes with no problems. Check out http://insidemacgames.com/ they have a lot of good game reviews there, and the user reviews will tell you which games are compatable with their PC counterparts.

and if they don't, they should buy it! even if it is an old game, it's still good, and the battlechest is like $10 some places, so why not?

i second that. one of the greatest games, if not the greatest, made by blizzard. wish they would come out with a part 2 (aside from the game that they're making for xbox, which really isn't a part 2).

Well the only other game I can think of right that hasn't been mentioned is Duke Nukem. Its really old and has horrable graphics and reqires you to start up classic mode but its still fun and readly available on both platforms. I currently use it time to time on a couple of old imacs which I have networked to gether. A G5 would be so much overpower for that game its not even funny to think about so you wont have any lag problems :D. It has doom 1 like graphics but slightlly better and sort of 3D.

Edit: wait I just remebered that there was sequals and stuff to this game, So the version I have is Duke NUkem 3D Atomic edition.

I heard Neverwinter Nights was cross-platform playable. Is this just across a LAN, or would we have to play across the internet? Or this just true at all?

My Last Lan by Numbers:

Quake 3 CTF : 12 people, 11 PC, 1 PBook, 2 teams, 72 hours, 28degrees C, 1 map (Q3wctf2 :D )

Oh god CTF never gets old, especially when playing with friends :)

LAN, Internet.. makes no difference. You can play together regardless.
