smc fan control..need help

I had smcfancontrol for a while on my 21.5 inch imac, but then i deleted it. I've got a question though: Will the imac now take over the fan control and adjust when needed? Or does it still think the smcfancontrol program is doing it. My imac gets extremely hot sometimes (i know its normal) but I'm just wondering if the system knows that it should probably kick up the fan speeds. Thanks

If you have deleted SMC Fan Control properly and have reset the SMC, the iMac will take over fan control. You can also use the iMac Fan Controller: http://www.derman.com/iMac-Fan-Control
