So if dust were to get in the back of the case.. would it scratch my iPhone?
I have the Reveal with the clear back and the dust will not scratch the iPhone. There is enough of a gap between the plastic part of the case and the phone that any dust in there never really touches both surfaces. Also, the fit of the case is good enough that if the dust did touch both surfaces, there is little or no relative movement between the phone and the case so the dust doesn't actually rub on the phone. I've had the Reveal case on my phone since the iPhone 4 release day and have had no issues aside from the flash obstruction and the back of the case getting scratched up. If you get one with the key hole shaped camera/flash cut out, you can contact Griffin and they will send you a new one that has a bogger cut out so it doesn't obstruct the flash. As far as the case getting scratched, better the case than my phone!
