I'm making a Christmas mix CD (via iTunes) for some friends, and I'm a little stuck on songs to add to it. So far the CD's got mostly a rock flavour, and I'm not really looking for any of the classics (that'll be my next CD). Anyways, if you guys have any favourites to contribute, do share.

So far I've got:
Coca Cola Christmas theme (you have no idea how hard that one was to find legally at the stores *wink*)
Happy Christmas - John Lennon
Last Christmas - Jimmy Eat World
All Alone on Christmas - Darlene Love
First Noel - Eve 6 (which I remixed via Garageband - couldn't stand the chorus of the original)
Alien for Christmas - Fountains of Wayne
Alone this Holiday - the Used
Christmas (Baby Please Come Home) - Death Cab
Please Come Home for Christmas - Bon Jovi

Did you search the iTunes Music Store? They have everything from traditional to offbeat to downright wacky.

Check out the Trans Siberian Orchestra. Not as "rock" as your list (which is more pop than anything), but very good Christmas music (and rocks!).

There's a version of The First Noel by Crash Test Dummies that's really good.

Can't go wrong with Bing Crosby and David Bowie doing Little Drummer Boy/Peace on Earth, it's from Bing's old Christmas TV special.

The original Charlie Brown Christmas music is my favorite. It's all written and performed by the Vince Guaraldi Trio

The Neil Finn song on Maybe This Christmas is actually "Sweet Secret Peace." It's also on A Winter's Night on iTunes.

I have a fondness for "Fairytale of New York" by the Pogues. iTMS does not have it, but I am sure you can find it somewhere. I have always liked the beginning "It was Christmas Eve Babe, in the drunk tank" which I am sure is an experience shared by the band members.

I would also recommend "Ragpicker's Dream" from Mark Knopfler which has a slight holiday theme.

Tran Siberian Orchestra's instrumentals truly rock out especially "O Come All Ye Faithful" from "Christmas Eve and Other Stories" and "Boughs of Holly" from "The Christmas Attic". Their songs with vocals are more forgettable.

I bought the physical cd and have to say I'm disappointed. While I'd recommend buying individual songs, a lot on there isn't all that good. Many are just instrumentals or lack words. It's alright, but not great.

Yep, and it's also available on iTunes. I have the 3 albums that this compilation was put together from, so I just bought the 6 extra songs on iTunes. That's one of the great things about it.

In addition, a few more great instrumental guitar Christmas albums:

http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewAlbum?playlistId=870977
http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewAlbum?playlistId=916969
http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewAlbum?playlistId=20886221

Unfortunately they're all partial albums on iTunes, but Amazon has them too.

Brian Setzer Orchestra's Boogie Woogie Christmas (http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewAlbum?playlistId=3702012) has some great stuff on it. Also check out Trans-Siberian Orchestra (http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewArtist?artistId=165340) for some great but less conventional rock-themed Christmas music.
