27 inch i3 or quad core

trying to decide which to buy just do regular we surfing, email, etc. some basic photo editing, itunes mp3 encoding, no real gaming. Really like the 27inch monitor just wondering if the quad core is worth getting for the $300 extra for future proofing the computer but my usage is moderate.

With your usage I'd go for the i3 and save the money, you won't see much of a difference.
