The admiring stares reinforce his great belief in the people he has set upon us.

Like when a political wife is nearby during a public appearance. No matter how many years they have been married she will gaze upon her husband adoringly as though transfixed by his greatness and hanging upon every word. Gag.

That (Republican women staring adoringly at their husbands) offends me, but it offends my female co-worker even more. She calls Laura Bush a Stepford Wife. Yeah, that's a pretty good description.
