New 2010 iMac's - CPU & GPU benchmarks post them here

So i thought we could have thread were people who gets their new imacs test their video cards and cpu and stuff. Would be sweet if you include settings, picture of framerate, or a video.

Ill post the first one i find today:


COD 4 MW2 runs perfectly in 2560x1440 with the new 2.8 Ghz quad Core i5 iMac.

This is a multiplayer Ground War Domination game captured with FRAPS at half-resolution, 30 FPS, no audio, to limit impact of capture on the actual game.

Settings are 2560x1440 (native) res, everything on except antialiasing (the dot pitch is so tiny on this monitor antialiasing is unnoticable), automatic textures.

The fraps display shows 59 FPS during the capture, but the FRAPS 60s benchmark when the capture is off shows a min/max/avg of 47, 92, 69.

Modern warfare 2 isnt exactly the most gpu intensive game, but im liking the framerate on that resolution. Averate of 70-75 fps. Not bad

I'm still wondering whether the quadcore or dualcore is going to work out better.
I'm pretty impressed with those benchmarks.

OMG if you have the resources test out the Kanex HD adapter and see if a HDMI device can output 1080p on your iMac screen!

I would like to see following benchmarks please..

1) Handbrake @ Apple Universal pre-set of a DVD (please post length/name of title).

i3 (dual)
i5 (dual)
Quad i5
Quad i7

2) FPS tests 2-3 major games for the two different GPUs

Pronto!! Someone's gotta at least get us some handbrake numbers...

Need to decide if: Quad i5 or i3..... for major use is photo editing (Lightroom/Aperature level but nothing crazy), general use and few FPS games.

Please give us a Geekbench score in 32 and 64 bit mode, do not play games so do not care about Frame rates with your new GPU, it is nice that they are up though.

how safe is it to OC the 5750 in windows mode and using it under OSX? Since the new gpu runs cooler, i assume some people will want to run some overclock tests eventually? Would really like to see the results if that's possible.

Showed this to my friend. He said "A simiilarly priced PC could put out FPS in the 300s...."

Really... Yeah, don't think so. He's had so much trouble with his (ATI 4850) gaming rig I don't even know where to start.

You know, with a IPS panel of the same caliber, and a high end all Aluminium case like those from Lian Li, that really needs the water-cooling from the Tri-SLI Nvidia 295's... that would have quite a bit more room, for it.

It's the same thing with laptops. its the small powerful laptops that are more expenssive(and desired) than the big clunky ones.
