I recently downloaded and unzipped a file that contains a few different installers. All of the installers have a strange icon and cannot be executed, even on the command line. They are supposed to be installers that run in Mac OS X.

The icons look like this:

Could anyone provide any assistance?

Well, OS X puts those icon on different execuatable programs. This is probably either a compiled c/c++ program that runs in terminal, or a shell script that runs in terminal.
