Lets get one thing straight, large, public companies do not simply merge. It is a long drawn out process, and many mergers end up failing. If it were a merger we would defintly know about it by now.

This is not to say that Apple may not acquire a specific division from another company, or form a very tight alliance.

At last! Someone who is thinking straight

Apple, TW/AOL, Motorola, Coca Cola, GM and IBM will become Ubercorp Inc., buy up the Key Senators and take over the world.

Well, Duh. Apple is known for it's alliances. The whole Merger thing is a remnant of the buyout paranoia around Gil Emilio nearly running Apple into the ground.

" What? Low proffits? Quick, fire some key personell and start up some suck products!"
