Peugeot Handsfree Maulfunction since iOS4

Hello, I had been happily running my 3G S through my Peugeot RD4 for calls until I upgraded to iOS4. Now, it can still receive calls but the interface on the RD4 shows gobbledegook instead of my contacts and call lists, meaning I can't handsfree select a number to dial. It has adhoc symbols and 'batchg' instead of names.

I have deleted the pairing and re-paired, renamed the iPhone but no success. Has iOS4 caused anyone elses in car handsfre to malfunction? :confused:
