It's out and it's $40!

Seriously? Come on OmniFocus fans, give me a reason why this is so good. And it also needs an $80 desktop software so I can sync it with my Mac?

$40 is a fair price - you no longer need a Mac - it is half price - you can sync OmniFocus on iPad to iPhone and if you want get rid of the Mac - great product and the best version of OmniFocus available.

Developers deserved to be paid for quality software that saves us times and helps us be more productive and make more money per hour ourselves! :)

Thanks for the reply. I'll have my eyes open for sure and read more reviews. I hope it won't be as disappointing as the $20 I spent on Things. :(

I'm actually considering ditching Things for Omnifocus. The lack of a true sync solution for Things has me frustrated.

I agree, thinking about getting an App Store refund if I can since I just bought Things for both iPad and iPhone last week.

Cultured Code has been unresponsive and people have been waiting for cloud syncing for over 6 months. Here OF has it day 1.

Also - a good thing to note is the OmniGroup just like their Mac software has a 30 day return policy on AppStore apps - even though they take a 30 percent loss from Apple - and are giving iPhone OmniFocus purchasers a $25 reimbursement to purchase the iPad version - if purchased after April 3rd and before today.

The sync is fantastic and the cool thing is you don't need a Mac to make it work you could work just from an iPad and an iPhone.

They have a pretty good intro video up on the OmniGroup website that I would checkout.

I just got OF for the iPad ..........and I ******** love it!

This app is ridiculous.

Well worth the extra month wait.

The only thing that sucks is i'm not gonna want to use the iPhone OF app anymore cause of this one.

.......Today is Christmas for me.

I'm new to OP and aren't much interested in GTD system. But I need a way to organize a fairly complicated work life. I also have Things which is nice looking and simple, but after you've got several Projects going the simplicity seems a limitation. No way to link them or nest them.

What sold me on OF is the Forecast option - I love having that capability and I'm going to explore Folders and nesting. And syncing will be appreciated. Like others, I appreciate the drive and responsiveness of the OF team.

Where does that leave me? I've purchased iPhone, Mac, and now would trade both for OmniFocus on iPad.

Anybody here use Nozbe? I just purchased the iPad version, which has a beautiful UI. I'm currently using Things. Now I'm confronted with Omnifocus. What to do? Nozbe looks pretty nice, has cloud synching, nested projects and a great integration with Evernote. Would love your recommendation.

OmniFocus is king. Believe me, if you use it daily and let it become your mental hub it will prevent gray hairs. Best app in my opinion. def. going to be my most used app.

I use the desktop version almost hourly, and the iPhone version was being used on my iPad till their iPad version came out.

I bought the iPad version of Omni Focus a few days ago. For over 2 years I resisted buying the iPhone version because I thought it was too expensive for an iPhone app. I've been using Pocket Informant and Appigo's ToDo (both the iPhone and iPad versions of each).

Before purchasing Omni Focus for iPad I read over 80 reviews of it on iTunes, I watched the video on the Omni Group website and I even watched all 10 videos on the Mac version.

I then decided to give the iPad version a try, and after using it a few daysI absolutely love it, love it so much that I even bought the iPhone version today so that I could have everything with me at all times. When I finally get a Mac later this year I will get the Mac version as well.

One of the key selling features in the iPAd version to me is the Forecast view and I hope that gets incorporated into the iPhone and Mac versions. I also love the fact that everything can be synced via MobileMe. Pocket Informant and ToDo sync through Toodledo, and although good it's not as intuitive. In addition there were things about PI and ToDo that I either liked that the others didn't have or something that one or the other didn't do at all. OmniFocus has it all and the iPad version made understanding GTD a lot easier for me. I have been a long time Franklin Covey user and just trying to grasp GTD over the past 2 years has been a challenge, but watching the videos on the Omni Group website and using the iPad version brought it altogether for me.

I was apprehensive in spending $60 for both the iPad and iPhone version, but now that I have and have used both programs, even just a few short hours today for the iPhone version, I am happy that I did and that the cost was well worth it. Syncing from the iPad to the iPhone took just a few minutes via Mobile Me and so far has been flawless. What more could I ask for.

Later this year, when I finally get the iMac or MacBook, Omni Focus for Mac will definately be on the short list of Mac software that I must have.

I was an Omnifocus user, but switched to Things. It just meets my needs better.
