In my latest project, I've started an online radio station through ShoutCast. The only issue is I have no music I can legally use. So... anyone GarageBand users or independent artists here willing to let me play your music?

For anyone who wants to tune in-- You can listen in iTunes. Search WCBR on Shoutcast.com and tune in to "WCBR: Cadillac Basement Radio". If I'm broadcasting, it'll show up. Eventually I'll set a specific time to broadcast, but for now, it's just whenever. (Though not until I have some music to broadcast ;) )

Oh--the broadcast begins as soon as someone tunes in!

Try searching at Creative Commons. For example, I searched for rock MP3 (http://search.creativecommons.org/index.jsp?q=rock+mp3&commercial=true&format=&hitsPerPage=10&hitsPerSite=2) and specified searching for works that can be used commercially, and came up with several hundred hits.

Thanks! Would you mind checking out my live program? It's on as soon as someone tunes in! Go to shoutcast.com and search for WCBR. Pleeeease? I'm bored waiting for listeners :p !

My Broadcast is up!

I'd listen to yours, but I'm trying to pull of a broadcast myself :D

Won't somebody listen?!?!? :D

Seriously though...if I don't have a listener in 5 minutes I'll have to go off air for today. :(

I have somebody listening to me, but the log does not show their IP address, could it somebody on the university network on my same IP? The log lists me as client one and client two is a mystery.

I listened in for a couple minutes, but then got a listener myself...

Good job, though. Nice broadcast!

I ended up getting a listener and went on air after all. That was cool. :)

I lowered my stream to 56kbps / 44 Mhz / Stereo and 10 client. Earlier I had it set to the default 50 client and I got all these whining babies on dial up bitching.
