i'm looking at the new mini as it's suitable for my needs, but was told in the apple store my 23” apple HD display
(the older all aluminum one - not the new one with the black boarder) could not be connected because
apple doesn't make these adapters anymore?

The guy at the store did find me a used 'Apple DVI to ADC Apdater Display Power Cable A1006' on eBay
but it’s got a honkin big power supply bar and I was told I’d then have to buy another adapter to connect to it
if I wanted to connect it to the new mini

I find it hard to believe that a perfectly good monitor can't easily be connected to the new mini???

i want less cables not more

any thoughts, advice?

The mini comes with a HDMI to DVI adapter in the box, or you can purchase a Mini DisplayPort to DVI adapter (Apple part # MB570Z/A).
