iMac Screen Streak

Hey there,

So recently (about 2 months ago) I noticed theses streaks (?) on the top right hand corner of my 'Early 2009' iMac's screen.

At first i thought it was just a smudge or dust, but after trying to get it off with a soft cloth - it doesn't want to budge. I have absolutely no idea what it is or how to get it off.

Anyone know what this is?

I have the exact same thing on my iMac 24", including the position.
I wouldn't mind knowing what the cause is as well.

At least I'm not the only one then.

I'm gonna give AppleCare a ring tomorrow and see what they say. I just find it weird how it got there in the first place.
