Photoshop Elements 3 visual bugs

Has anyone else noticed that certain graphics in Photoshop elements 3 have white edges around them, look at the slider in the examples below.

I never noticed this in version Photoshop Elements 2 and Photoshop CS doesn't have them.

My guess would be that whoever wrote the user interface for Photoshop Elements 3 didn't get something quite right. Why didn't you use Interface Builder? It takes care of these things for you. (you meaning the developer of PSE3)
