I've been playing StarCraft II the past couple of days and noticed the fan for the first time since I've gotten my iMac (which was in November). So I touched the top of the screen and it was burning hot.

Is this normal? I really haven't heard the fan until playing SCII, so I'm not sure if my iMac has always been hot.

I'm no expert but based on historical posts of simular subject text, some folks have installed / configured 3rd party Fan Speed control software.

yes, its always been hot but not burning hot. gaming turns it burning hot.

get smcfancontrol to increase fanspeeds, get istats pro widget to monitor temperature.
