I just had to post how impressed I am with the speed of this computer.

I had 5 gigs worth of .nef raw images I needed to process from a recent trip to the Memphis Zoo. It processed 7+ adjustments to over 65 12meg+ images in under 90 seconds.

By comparison, my old 24" C2D would have taken 5-6 min to do the same thing.

This is what I love to hear. Not that I'm processing that many images at once but I can't wait to see the speed of my new SSD.

Does this mean you store your pictures on the SSD? I guess doing so is safe since you don't have to worry about "writing" to the SSD often with pictures.
