If i buy another phone to use along my iphone, will i need a seperate data plan

i take the sim out of my iphone and put it into this other phone, and yes i have a microsim adapter
 
i believe if u buy it thorough att and use a subsidized price then yes you will need a data plan. but if you buy the phone off ebay or a full priced phone from att then no new plan is needed.

If you want to use them simultaneously you'll need another data plan. If you're just moving a SIM back and forth I don't think you will.
 
Yeah this is what i'm talking about.

I dont want to break my iphone while going snowboarding etc. I am going to take the sim out of my iphone and stick it in another phone (Say a sidekick). Will i need to pay per mb to use data or will it come off my dataplus plan

Maybe you should call your provider and ask them.
