I have scanned my comic book collection onto my computer and have the JPGs in folders. One folder=one issue. I plan to put all these comics on my iPad but need to convert them to PDF first. This is my problem... If I want to do this I have to manually convert each folder of JPGs into PDF files one by one. This takes ALOT of time. I was wondering if anyone else has done n e thing like this and has a solution as to how to batch all these folders of comics so i can just let my computer do all the work. Thank you.

PS... if i'm posting this in the wrong section please point me in the right direction... thanx

Preview will do the image to multi page PDF conversion.

You can set up an Automator application along the lines of:
Get Folder Contents>Open Finder Items>New PDF From Images.

Then just drag and drop the folders on to the application you've created.

Don't know of a way to automate the process but you can always use the "combine files" feature in Acrobat. It'll even add bookmarks to every pages, which is a nice touch. You'll have to do each folder but it shouldn't take too long.

Use Automator, which comes with OS X. Create a workflow that takes each folder item and combines them into a pdf. To make it even easier, you can save the workflow as an applet. Then, just drag and drop your folders onto the applet to run it. Voila!

Automator is one of those hidden gems of OS X. Once you start playing around with it you'll find all sorts of neat things you can do that would take hours to do manually. It is a fantastic time saver.

EDIT: I just saw that FourCandles suggested this as well. Sorry for repeating it.
